The Problem

The use of fossil fuels in power and heat generation, cooking and transportation is taking a huge toll on the environment and human health. At the same time, depleting fossil fuel levels are a reality of our future, and pose a significant threat in terms of energy security, especially for developing nations such as India.

Air pollution in India

According to a WHO 2018 Report, 14 of the world’s 15 most polluted cities are in India. As per a Lancet report, the country recorded an astounding 2.51 million air pollution related deaths in 2015.

Unscientific disposal and open burning of waste including MSW and agricultural waste are amongst the key contributors to the problem of rising air pollution and PM 2.5 levels in India.

The Opportunity

With the spectre of global warming and climate change hanging over the world, countries are coming together to put up a united front in the fight for a clean and green future. The Paris Accord of 2015 had 195 developed and developing nations as signatories, pledging to take decisive steps to combat the looming crisis.

Paris Accord on Climate Change

India too is a signatory of the Paris Accord, and the country, driven by its commitment to the global goal, as well as the need to address local challenges has made significant headway in terms of putting in place policies and practices for promoting renewable and sustainable energy generation.

Municipal Solid Waste

Recognizing the need for sustainable management of urban and agricultural waste, and the potential of waste as a resource, the Swachh Bharat Mission (Clean India Mission) places strong impetus on energy generation from waste as one of the pathways for a clean and green future.

Our Solutions

Abellon has evolved an integrated and sustainable model for converting waste into clean energy, with focus on stringent emission control and reduction in PM 2.5 levels, resulting in improved air quality, healthier people, and a cleaner and greener nation.

Abellon Waste to Energy Plant

We are working at the forefront of the Swachh Bharat Mission and our vision is to make a significant contribution to the goals laid out under the same.
One of the key features of our waste to energy model is the capability to process heterogenous waste in a sustainable and environment friendly manner.

Abellon

Abellon has been set up with a vision to contribute to nation building through sustainable solutions for Power, Heat and Transport.

Our aim is to productively harness the abundant urban and agricultural waste resource in the country to produce renewable energy, while reducing environmental degradation, improving human health and well-being, and promoting energy self reliance for the nation.
